This program is open to current college students only (this includes students enrolled in community college, four year public or private colleges/universities, graduate school, professional programs, vocational or trade programs) pursuing any degree or major. High school students are not eligible for Pride Foundation Fellowships; however, high school seniors can apply for our scholarships!
Applicants will be asked to provide basic contact information, summer availability, a list of applicable skills and areas of potential development. A non-family professional or academic reference is also required.
Pride Foundation Fellows will have the opportunity to work with select Northwest non-profit organizations on various projects, events, and programs that have a positive impact on the LGBTQ community. Details about the available opportunities are in the application.
Applicants will be asked to rank their top choices to help the selection committee determine eligible matches. Pride Foundation Fellows are paid a $3,500 stipend by Pride Foundation for their work. The stipend is divided into three payments over the summer. Fellows are expected to commit to 200 hours of work at their internship site (20 hours per week for 10 weeks). Applicants must be available from mid-June to mid-August for their assignment, but specific hours are negotiable with the host organization.
