Pride Foundation

The Pride Foundation is excited to team up with the Whidbey Island Giving Circle to hold two house parties and fundraisers this November.

Two years ago a group of lesbians and gay men on Whidbey Island created the Whidbey Giving Circle.  Together in partnership with the Pride Foundation, they support the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered community of Whidbey Island.  Since its inception, the Giving Circle has raised and awarded $30,000 locally for scholarships and programs in their community.

As they enter their third year, they are hoping to expand their membership and invite you to come and learn more.  There will be two separate fundraisers.

The first, on election night (Tuesday, November 3rd) will be from 7 to 9 PM at the Home of Gerry Betz and Larry Lowary in Clinton, WA.

The second will be Saturday, November 21st from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at the Home of Jan Pickard and Anne Harvey in Coupeville, WA.

Each event will provide interesting company, great food and enjoyable learning opportunities!  Some of their grant and/or scholarship recipients from last year will be on site to share their experiences. And some of our own Pride Foundation staff members will be in attendance as well!
