William Schroeder is attending the University of Montana’s PhD Program in Cultural Anthropology, applying Queer Theory to ethnographic projects on the Radical Faeries and the life history of a Somali Sunni Muslim lesbian. William continues to investigate archaeological sites with special attention paid to gendered pasts and artifacts. William is working on a Visual Anthropology project on Semiotics, Queer Theory, and HIV/AIDS activism (safe sex practices). William hopes to present his work at Anthropology conferences. William received the Tony DeBlase Scholarship.
