Leaving a Legacy

Estate planning is a powerful way to express your values and to care for your partner, family, and community. It is especially important for LGBTQ+ people, whose lives are not fully recognized under the law. With proper planning, you can make sure your wishes are fulfilled, potentially lower your estate tax, and create powerful change for generations to come.

Ways to Give

Including Pride Foundation in your estate plans means you join a community of thoughtful and generous people who believe in the vision of full equality for LGBTQ+ people and our families.

There are many ways to leave a legacy and support Pride Foundation through your estate:

  • Name Pride Foundation as a beneficiary in your will. Sample bequest language can be found here.
  • Make Pride Foundation a beneficiary of your life insurance policy, IRA, 401(k) or 403(b).
  • Name Pride foundation as the beneficiary of a charitable remainder trust.
  • If you’ve already included Pride Foundation in your estate plans, let us know! Complete our confidential bequest intention form to notify us that you are a Visionary!

With a little planning, you can make sure your loved ones and your community are supported far into the future. Look inside the Leave a Legacy brochure to see how planned giving through Pride Foundation can make this possible.

Pride Foundation Legacy Society: The Visionaries

As a Visionary, you receive annual acknowledgment in Pride Foundation publications, invitations to special donor events, and the fulfillment of knowing that your gift will help transform our region for years to come. Thank you for your belief in a better tomorrow—together we’re creating a future where every one of us can be our full selves.
