Jean-Paul is the Executive Communications Specialist at University of Washington, supporting the communication needs of University leadership. Previously, Jean-Paul worked for a private communications consulting firm assisting public and private clients in conducting public outreach work for large scale transportation and energy projects in the Puget Sound region.
Prior to his career in communications, Jean-Paul completed his Masters in Geography at McGill University in Montreal, Canada focusing on the changing gay-identified urban landscape in Western cities as influenced by emerging mobile social application technologies.
Jean-Paul, the son of immigrant parents from France and Mexico, has one sister in Seattle with whom he is close. When he’s not being an energetic Husky fan, Jean-Paul is an avid traveler, having visited over 30 countries across six continents. He is also deeply passionate about social justice issues, including adequate access to K-12 and higher education, regional mobility and transportation access, and LGBTQ equality.
Jean-Paul was a 2006 Pride Foundation Scholar and he is thrilled at the opportunity to give back to the Foundation as a board member.
