Susie is a native Idahoan currently living in Pocatello. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Sciences from the University of Idaho because she is inspired by her belief that nothing is more foundational than “family” in our society—all families.
She is an accidental activist—having worked diligently to ensure passage of an inclusive nondiscrimination ordinance in Pocatello and going on to work on the campaign to prevent its repeal by way of the ballot.
In her spare time, Susie enjoys gardening, cycling, and downhill skiing. Susie has two grown children, both of whom are married. Because Susie wants her son to be happy and safe, she wants everyone’s child to be happy and safe. Every parent—every person—deserves that. That is why she joined the board—Pride Foundation and its mission and vision are so incredibly important for all of us. As her son’s husband shares all the time: “Idaho needs Susie!”
