Top Down: Rooftop Cinema is an urban film event presented by the Northwest Film Center, a non-profit media arts organization located in Portland, Oregon. The Film Center presents this eclectic mix of entertaining films each summer atop the Hotel deLuxe’s parking garage, five stories overlooking the downtown skyline. Pride Foundation is a proud partner of the August 9  film — HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH with director John Cameron Mitchell in attendance! This film event is a fun, inspiring, and community-building event for the LGBTQ community

HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH is a 2001 American musical comedy-drama film about a fictional rock band fronted by an East German transgender singer. The film was adapted and directed by John Cameron Mitchell, who also portrayed the title role. Mitchell’s “anatomically incorrect rock odyssey” is smart, poignant, and brimming with power-pop rock penned by Mitchell and Stephen Trask. (95 minutes)

John Cameron Mitchell will introduce the film.
